Acura appeared at 2014 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, with a prototype of its next generation mid-size sedan. This whole new series is titled as 2015 Acura TLX and may replace the existing TL in the coming year.
This latest prototype is centered on ‘Red Carpet Athlete’ portraying a blend of sports, luxury, and elegance. After its first appearance, the prototype will travel throughout the world for continuous tweaks and adjustments. The vehicle is said to have impressive styling, powertrain, and technological features.
2015 Acura TLX will be encompassing 2.4 liter 16-valve inline four-cylinder engine pinched with direct injection and VTEC Valvetrain. This powerful machine is accompanied by eight speed dual clutch transmission, enabling a smooth and adaptable driving performance. It will also offer a high performance version enclosing a 3.5 liter V6 engine having the similar direct injection. The two different versions are capable of producing 185 and 286 horsepower, respectively. Each version of the new TLX will be encircling Acura Precession Two Wheel and All Wheel Steer technology with efficient control over the differentials.
The 2015 Acura TLX prototype displayed at the 2014 North American International Auto Show was coated in red, representing grace and sportiness. With key aerodynamic features, the car is externally shaped in a more compact outline. However, the interior of this sports sedan still has enough capacity to fill in the seating of four adults, comfortably. The most striking designing feature on the exterior is the Jewel Eye LED headlamps that display a high-tech 3D appearance, when turned on. Moreover, custom designed 20 inch alloy wheels and low profile tires ensure a strong grip over the road.
Despite the flying velocity, Honda’s premium luxury brand promises the utmost safety features. Although, it has not yet been revealed what the price of 2015 Acura TXL would be, the final release will be seen somewhere in the mid of 2015.
