BMW has been participating in various racing events and honoring some of the legends of the game. Now, BMW has launched the new BMW M4 DTM Championship Edition that is being created in the honor of Marco Wittmann who won the DTM championship title this year. There will be only 23 such vehicles that BMW will produce and will have colors of the 24 year old German driver’s Ice Watch DTM race car. The bonnet of the car will have bold color scheme that includes stripped bonnet and boot. The vehicle will also have number 23 on the doors of the car and race lettering on the rear side windows.
BMW mentioned that this will be their tribute to Wittmann and the vehicle will only be available in Alpine White. Some of the signature features will be refined exclusively at the BMW Individual Manufactory in Garching. The vehicle will have standard CFRP roof to improve the overall performance of the vehicle. It will have 19 inch alloy wheels, black front splitter, black side skirt blade, carbon front flaps, carbon mirror caps and a rear spoiler along with carbon diffuser insert from the M Performance parts range. The door sill will bear Wittmann’s autograph and car’s serial number.
