Nissan is really proud of the GT-R models that they launched almost five years ago and that has managed to put Nissan on the global map especially in terms of high performance vehicles. Now, Nissan has come up with the announcement that they are going to release the 2014 Nissan GT-R Special Edition that will be coated with exclusive Midnight Opal color which is being used for the first time ever and that they will launch only 100 such vehicles in the market worldwide. The Japanese automaker also said that this model will be a limited production model and will be expensive compared to the Premium GT-R models.
While the car will have the same engine as the Premium GT-R models but it will have a different color coat on the exterior that will be a major difference. Nissan revealed that the new Midnight Opal color will be applied by hand and therefore it will only be seen on some of the limited production vehicles. The new color will have a sparkling finish to it and therefore the color will sparkle like a jewel when in light. The color will also change color from deep purple to deep blue depending on light conditions and viewing angles.
There are many other changes that Nissan has introduced to the new version of GT-R. The new 2014 Nissan GT-R Special Edition will also have dry carbon fiber rear spoiler that is designed to enhance the aerodynamics of the vehicle at ultra-high speeds. The forged aluminum wheels will have hyper-titanium coating that blends well with the Midnight Opal exterior color. The car will also have gold number plate that will be fitted in the engine compartment that speaks about the exclusivity of GT-R’s Special Edition. Nissan has also reduced the overall weight of the vehicle to offer better fuel economy and exceptional handling.
