2015 is shaping up to be a historic year for new motors. We are turning a huge corner in automotive technology right now. Driverless cars are on the horizon. Hybrid supercars have become the norm and we’re even exploring new hydrogen powered cars. The first quarter has already been a strong one in the car lover’s calendar. We’ve had the spectacular Geneva Motor Show which gave us a glimpse into the future. The first trickle of releases have hit the road too, not least the new a which we love. However, we’re always looking ahead and we want to know what cars are coming up. Don’t worry, we’ve got five in a row for you.
Here are the five most anticipated cars still to come in 2015:
Every petrolhead has been waiting the return of the Type R with baited breath. In the world of hot hatchbacks there have always been two leaders in the pack. They are the Volkswagen Golf GTi and the Ford Fiesta ST. The Honda Civic Type R is the only model that has ever come close to taking the crown. It’s been out of the race for a few years, waiting on the production line. In the summer of 2015, it’s officially back. When it hits the market, it will be available here. We suggest you keep your eyes peeled for this one.
The BMW i8 is one of the most talked about cars on the planet. Hybrid power has typically been shunned by speed freaks and power lovers. However, car manufacturers have been carefully extracting huge power from dual, hybrid engines. Hybrid supercars now set the standard for fierce driving. The i8 is BMW’s answer to the hybrid supercar challenge. It’s futuristic, powerful and fast.
The reimagined Corvette is the first of our reissues on the list today. The classic American car has been through some cosmetic changes over the years. But we can all agree that it is simply magnificent. The new Corvette is no different. It is the perfect balance of elegance and raw ferocity. We can’t wait to get behind the wheel.
Toyota’s luxury arm, Lexus, have a reputation for being a little hit and miss. They have forced their way into a crowded market in the executive car world. They find themselves head to head with the likes of BMW, Audi and Mercedes. We always thought the RCF held its own, it’s certainly one of the best looking executive cars on the market. The brand new model is even better. We should see this hit the streets this summer.
Finally, we come to the most exciting car on the list. The reimagined Ford Mustang is set for release later this year and we can barely contain our excitement. The classic American muscle car still holds all the power and authority of its predecessors. Expect this to dominate the roads upon its release.
There you have it, folks! Five of the hottest new cars set for release this year. Which one is your favorite?
