One of the undeniable stars of the 2015 Geneva Auto Show was the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport “La Finale”. As you probably already figured it out, the moniker means the “last one”, signaling the end of the extremely productive series called 450 Veyron, from the brand that produced one of the fastest cars in the world.
The final version of the Veyron looks absolutely amazing, clearly worthy of the role they have built it for. It’s not just unique, it is also extravagant, but at the same time, there is some much needed familiarity, and not just regarding the obvious similarities regarding the exterior.
The car just works. The top notch carbon fiber that comes in a very interesting, almost the fiery red color, is just the perfect fit for the black elements. It is visually appealing even for those who don’t necessarily like the color red. The interior pays tribute to the very first Veyron, and it combines that special color that’s been dubbed as “Hot Spur” with a deep black. A car that’s as strikingly beautiful as the new Veyron is, deserves some real firepower under the hood, and the French manufacturers did not let us down.
The new Veyron will be powered by a W16, 8.0 liter engine that will of course come with a turbocharger as well, making this bad boy capable of producing 1106 lb-ft torque output, and the power of roughly 1200 well-fed horses. No wonder that it will be capable of reaching from zero to a hundred in about 2.5 seconds, while producing an exhilarating, 408.84 km/h top speed.
